Gẹ́gẹ́ bí ọ̀rọ̀ náà ṣe lọ

Àwọn ọmọdé ogún kó le wá papọ̀ fún ogún ọdún

Sùgbọ́n ẹ̀mí, ọkàn àti ara mi ti wá ní  ìsiṣẹ́pọ̀ fún ogún ọdún

Ayé tó rẹwà ni mo rò pé mo ti gbé

Ìrìnàjò ogún ọdún ni mo ti fara dà

Mo rò pé àkókò yìí ṣì jìnnà

Mo rò pé àkókò yóò dá, ayé yóò sì dúró fún mi láti tan ìmọ́lẹ̀

Ṣùgbọ́n mo ṣe àṣìṣe; mo ní láti tan ìmọ́lẹ̀ bí ayé ṣe n yí lọ

"Ìwó yóò dìde láti ṣàánú fún síónì, nítorí àsìkò à ti ṣe ojúrere sii; àsìkò náà ti tó"

Mo rìn kúrò láti ìbànújẹ àti ìrora

Mo sì rìn sínú ayọ̀ àti ẹwà nítorí ayé mi ti bẹ̀rẹ̀

Ogún ni ìbẹ̀rẹ̀!!!

Twenty children cannot be together for twenty years 

But my spirit, soul and body have been in harmony for twenty years 

A beautiful life I think I have lived

A journey of twenty years have I endured

I thought this time was still far away 

I thought time would pause, the world would wait for me to shine my light

But I made a mistake, I have to shine my light as the rounds go

"For you shall arise and have mercy upon zion, for the time to favour her, the set time has come"

I walk away from sorrow and pain

I walk into joy and beauty because my life has began
